Seal rebuilding kits are a big cost savings value over replacing functional swivels that have worn seals. We offer rebuilding kits for most Super Swivels. Each kit comes with the right amount of seals and balls for your swivel configuration, as well as a grease zerk and a new lock washer. See all sizes below or configure your kit size here.
To simplify the replacement of worn seals we offer a seal installation cone and a seal resizing ring for select swivel types and sizes. These tools are most commonly used for Car Wash swivels and are not required for our standard swivels. See the instructional videos below for how to replace worn seals without the use of these tools.
The installation cone allows you to simply slide your replacement seals over the cone, then slide the seals over your existing swivel. No twisting and fumbling with new seals trying to get them over the swivel.
After the replacement seal is in position, slide the resizing ring over the seal to reshape and size the seal when in place.

We have both written and video instructions to help with the rebuilding of your swivels.
Remove the retaining bolt or grease zerk (some models have a permanent grease zerk).
Wash swivel in solvent and rotate while immersed to remove grease from the ball bearing groove.
Remove the ball bearings by rotating the swivel with the ball loading hole pointed downward. If remaining grease in the ball groove prevents balls from falling free when centered over the loading hole, tap the swivel on the workbench with the loading hole facing down on the bench.
With all ball bearings removed (check by rotating while looking into the ball loading hole), pull the two halves apart and discard old rings, ball bearings, and seals.
Clean and dry the swivel thoroughly, install the new seal and wear rings when required, and lubricate the female bore and male outside diameter before assembly. Load retainer ball bearings and install grease zerk (a temporary zerk is provided for models with a retaining bolt). Use lithium-based grease with moly (do not over grease).
Note: The temporary grease zerk must be removed and replaced with the original retaining bolt and new lock washer on swivels which didn’t originally have a permanent grease zerk.
